Trek to South Bend

So we actually left Utah for a different reason then a vacation. To make the whole thing a little easier on our wallet we decided rent a larger truck and share it with David Janetski, another BYU student who was going to Notre Dame. (We rented from Penske and were very pleased with the service they provided) We took a day to pack our stuff in and then passed it off to him so he could do the same. We were able to get everything to fit in the truck besides their couch. We left on Saturday the 12th of August and drove our massive truck for 3 days across the country and arrived in South Bend late Monday Afternoon.
During our travel east we did hit a major storm that forced us to pull of the road and wait it out.

When we arrived the South Bend Ward had gotten about 7 guys together to help us unload the truck. They were life savers and I don't think we could have done it without them. We had the truck unpacked at both places within a couple hours.

South Bend has been better then expected. It is a beautiful area and the people have been very nice. It has been very weird to have such a large sky and horizon here. The mountains will surely be missed. We have been very happy with the weather so far as well. (lets see if I still say that 4 months from now)
